CLUB FIELD DAY

The largest annual event that the St Croix Amateur Radio Club participates in is Field Day. Each year amateurs from Canada and the US gather and set up equipment to participate in the ARRL sponsored event. The club operates for a 24 hour period without benefit of commercial power.
All equipment must operate from generators, batteries, solar power or any other means of power, as long as it is not from the commercial utility. The antennas used are also brought by individual club members. Although not considered a contest, points are accumulated for each radio contact made with bonus points for special operating equipment, personnel and power.
